Preserving Northwestern Wisconsin, A Place You Love!
The Bayfield Regional Conservancy was organized to benefit the general public through charitable, educational and scientific activities. The geographic area of focus for these activities includes Bayfield, Ashland, Sawyer and Douglas Counties. Lake Superior and the Apostle Islands are also included in the service area.

The MISSION of the Bayfield Regional Conservancy is to protect the natural lands, waters, forests, farms and
places of scenic, historic, and spiritual value in Northwestern Wisconsin.

Our purpose is to SAVE LAND and to date the BRC has protected approximately 4,650 acres.

 UPDATE!

After nearly two years of discussions, the boards of Bayfield Regional Conservancy and West Wisconsin Land Trust have merged to create a new land conservation organization. After a thorough exploration of our resources, the conservation challenges ahead, and our commitment to in-perpetuity conservation, the board came to the conclusion that a larger, more robust organization was needed for greater impact and long-term sustainability. We believe this merger will have a long-lasting impact on land conservation in our region. We hope you will continue to support our great work! A name for our new organization will soon be chosen.
