Join us for the BRC Annual Meeting
BRC will host its annual meeting on July 28 at the Pikes Bay Marina Clubhouse located at the south end of the Brownstone Trail. As was the case last year, all members and supporters are invited to attend and share in a potluck dinner. The meeting, from 6 to 8 p.m., will feature updates for members on BRC projects and board elections for new directors. But official business will be limited so the focus can be on socializing with fellow BRC friends.
Please mark your calendar and join us for that fun event – and for an expected big announcement.
The winners of the BRC 1st Annual Photo Contest are Carol Seago, Denise Dupras, and Bob Mulcahy (photos in that order)!
We looked for entries that specifically portrayed our Priority Conservation Areas. Thank you to all the entrants!
Love Stories of the Bay is Here!
LOVE STORIES OF THE BAY was written by people who feel a connection to Lake Superior – specifically Wisconsin’s Chequamegon Bay. Most authors are from small, northern Wisconsin towns; Many have never written for publication. Asked for a story about something that had touched their hearts, they responded with tender, humorous, and poignant tales of great variety: best friends, loss of love, children, animals, places, and historic events. Every story is illustrated with photography or art. You'll find laughter in these pages, and some tears.
EVERY book purchased will protect habitat on land and in the water, by generating a donation to the Bayfield Regional Conservancy – a land trust serving Bayfield, Sawyer, Douglas and Ashland Counties in northeast Wisconsin. (Lake Superior and the Apostle Islands are included in the service area.) 51 stories.
