The workshops are intended to provide an educational forum for woodland landowners to gain information on conservation and stewardship options, voluntary
incentive programs and economic benefits that currently are available through various county, state and federal agencies and organizations.
Workshops will feature three sessions including:
- Water Quality and Watershed Protection
- Forest Ecosystem Integrity
- Wildlife Habitat
Sessions will include presentations by representatives from UW Extension, County Conservation Departments, Natural Resource Conservation Service, Bayfield Regional Conservancy, Living Forest Cooperative, Local Landowners and others.
In addition the half-day workshops will offer displays and and educational materials covering conservation activities in the region.

Ashland County: Mellen, April 24
Douglas County: Poplar, May 15
Sawyer County: Hayward, June 26, 12:30-3:30, Sherman and Ruth Weiss Community Library
Bayfield County: Iron River. July 10, 12:30-3:30, Iron River Community Center
