Highland Valley Farm


Size : 45 acres

Location: Orchard District of Town of Bayfield, Bayfield County

Working Land Types: Blueberries, raspberries, honey, maple syrup.

Protection: Purchased Farmland Preservation Easement through Town of Bayfield’s Farmland Preservation Program with funding from NRCS’s Farm and Rangeland Protection Program. The easement is administered and monitored by the Bayfield Regional Conservancy.

Conservation Value: Scenic and Working Lands

Description: Highland Valley Farm has higher than average scenic value. As the name suggests, the farm is located in a lovely upland valley bordered by hardwood forests and rolling pasture land. Situated in the Pike Creek Valley, the farm has panoramic vistas of Mt. Ashwabay and Bayfield County Forest land. Pike’s Creek which formed this valley, is a designated state trout stream and favorite haunt of fly fishermen.
