Bequests
_One of the easiest ways to give to the BRC is through
your will. In your will, you can name The Bayfield Regional Conservancy
as the direct beneficiary of specific assets, a portion of your estate,
or of your residual estate after payment of other bequests. Bequests to
BRC are completely free from federal estate tax and can, therefore,
offer substantial estate tax savings. There is no set limit to the
amount that you may leave to BRC or other charities through your will.
Here is an example of the language to include in your will:
"I give ___________ (residue, percentage, or specific amount) to the Bayfield Regional Conservancy, having its principal offices at 33 N. First Street, Bayfield, Wisconsin, 54814 for its general purposes to protect the natural lands, waters, forests, farms and places of scenic, historic, and spiritual value in the Bayfield Region.."
Your Bequest Gift offers several benefits.

Your Bequest Gift offers several benefits.
- Flexibility. Because you are not actually making a gift until after your lifetime, you can change your mind at any time.
- Versatility. You can structure the bequest to leave a specific item or amount of money, make the gift contingent on certain events, or leave a percentage of your estate to us.
- Tax Relief. If your estate is subject to estate tax, your gift is entitled to an estate tax charitable deduction for the gift's full value.
